Bake Sale at Little Legends Playground in Chicago

For the first time, Charity for Balkan Children organized a community Bake Sale in Chicago — and it was a beautiful success filled with generosity, unity, and purpose.

We wanted to host our very first bake sale at a place that truly aligns with our values: community, children, and kindness. We are incredibly grateful to Little Legends Playground for welcoming us and partnering with us to make this event possible.

Together, we fundraised for our current humanitarian project:

A Community Coming Together for Children

One of the most meaningful aspects of charity work is witnessing how people come together — each contributing in their own unique way. This bake sale was a perfect example of that spirit.

We experienced an overwhelming sense of support from:

• Local food partners who generously donated baked goods

• Friends and families who donated items and helped organize

• Community members who shared our event on social media, invited friends, and showed up in person to support the cause

Seeing this collective effort reminded us why we do what we do.
